The design brief was to devise a bright, fun space
that reflected the company’s culture.
As interiors are Swan Group’s main business,
it was imperative that the fitout reflected
the company’s high standard of quality and
workmanship. In addition to this, the workspace
needed to include a formal professional space for
the reception and boardroom area. This represents
an impressive entry point for visitors while still
having a connection with the more informal spaces,
making it one large collaborative workspace.
EID produced a design concept that incorporated
natural and raw tones in the selection of finishes,
including concrete, spotted gum timber, ply
elements and grass-look carpet. With client-facing
areas downstairs and informal workspaces on the
first floor, the flow of the zones was important.
The spotted gum timber staircase joins the two
levels together, while the ‘caged’ drop pendant
draws focus on the height of the void, making
a massive statement within the space.
Similarly, in the breakout area, the elements of
timber and concrete have been carried through to
mirror the reception’s look and feel.
The overall design encompasses Swan Group’s
fun and generous nature in a space that is created
specifically for how the group enjoys working
together as a team.
Creating their own new office fitout meant Swan Group
could combine form and function with a hint of playfulness.
