he intriguing combination of hard lines,
natural sunlight, vibrant colours and
delicate detailing has created a truly
stimulating environmental design for
Edith Cowan University’s Building 34 (ECU B34).
Designed as a simple and functional building
core, wrapped in a finely detailed sculptural gold
perforated aluminium sunshade veil, the building’s
mix of simplicity with embellishment is what
makes the project so captivating. Built to bring key

The structure itself is defined by the gold

encouraging community engagement while
reflecting the university’s commitment to
education, innovation and quality of life.
