commercial workplace design.
These activity-based workplaces offer
alternative choices and options of where and how
to work, study and interact.
At Edith Cowan University’s Joondalup
Campus, Hames Sharley’s new Student
Recruitment Centre provides an inviting,
interactive and lively interior that reflects the
dynamism and vibrancy of the university.
The design seeks to avoid an institutional feel,
and uses geometric and organic forms to promote
a sense of informality.
Students are greeted by recruiting staff seated
in colourful circular pods, while a sculptural
wave-form display helps users access a wealth of

FEATURES | Bright bursts of colour balanced by
dark carpet tones and natural plywood, acr ylic staff
interaction pods and surrounding glazing, and
distinctive, colourful graphics.
