orking with an open-minded
client meant few limitations
in regards to the the design
and construction of this new
and vibrant office space.
Covering the entire third floor of a heritage-
listed building, the Nexia Perth office exudes
the aura of a New York warehouse with arch
windows, exposed brickwork, polished concrete,
and raw materials, such as natural hoop pine
plywood, solid Blackwood timber, Comcork
flooring and stainless steel.
While keen to make the spaces a little playful,
the client’s core focus was to create a place where
staff felt comfortable and on equal grounding.
Perhaps the most colourful area is the kitchen
and breakout space, where vertical garden walls
surround the cosy booths, and Mura Dune acoustic
wall tiles assist in noise dampening. Stainless steel
benchtops and concrete island benchtops complete
the industrial look.
The lift facia in recycled timber further
emphasises the raw, aged, New York theme, while
the reception area features exposed aggregate
polished concrete, a solid surface reception desk
and a translucent panelled sign. Recessed angled
feature lighting over the reception proved to be
a challenge, as each extrusion needed to be cut to a
specific angle, then hand-made in Germany.
Paramount shopfitters would like to recognise
Bollig Design Group and the following suppliers
that assisted in the final project result: Concrete
Studio, Crown Cleaning, Customised Air, Green
Choice Painting, Hobers Tiling, Hufcor, Kingman
Visual, Kitec Electrical, Lakeside Plumbing, Neylor,
Vertical Gardens, Zenith and Fagor appliances.
Consideration of space and careful product selection has
resulted in a contemporary office with an industrial edge.
