KDC was appointed for the
Interior Design and Project
Management of the new Perth
Head Office for JGC Oceania Pty
Ltd – a Japanese LNG Company.
Leading the design and construct team,
which included CDI Group, ATA Engineering and
Schiavello, MKDC delivered an executive level
fit-out within budget.
Contemporary materials and finishes were
selected in order to reflect the company’s Japanese
heritage. Natural stone and timber veneer have
been juxtaposed against accents of red, creating
a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic.
The stepped glass facade and unique triangular
shape of the building presented MKDC with a
challenging design platform. Locating the support
facilities and offices towards the building’s core,
MKDC was able to maximise the amount of natural
light entering the space and in doing so provided
the executive office, boardroom and workstations
with panoramic views of the Swan River.
Critical to the overall planning concept and
in order to meet the needs of its dynamic client,
MKDC selected furniture that would adapt to
future technologies and new methods of working.
MKDC specified the installation of the new
Climate Workstation from Schiavello, giving the
client increased flexibility and the opportunity
for potential growth.
MKDC’s Project Delivery Model for design
and procurement ensured that the JGC Oceania
project was completed on time and within the
strict budget parameters.
