he Terrace Gardener designs and installs
gardens, from small courtyards to whole
gardens, both domestic and commercial.
It is through this process over many
years that its owner and designer Des Barbera
has sought out quality pots of authentic origin
and garden furnishings to meets the needs of his
designs. Whilst initially importing to meet only the
requirements of these gardens, The Terrace Gardener
now carries sufficient stock holdings to make these
exclusive collections available to the trade.
For contemporary gardens or gardens seeking a
contemporary element for juxtaposition, The Terrace
Gardener offers pots and furniture from the Italian
company Serralunga, whose design philosophy is to
treat the outdoor with the same importance as the
indoor, creating warm and aesthetically valuable
spaces. Their range is extensive and includes garden
pots, dining tables and chairs, armchairs and casual
lounges, cafe tables and lamps.
Traditional Italian terracotta is provided
by Maurizio Benocci Terracotta Studio, a fifth
generation Tuscan pot manufacturer. The Tuscan
clay, when used in this traditional way, is renowned
around the world for the beauty of its soft rose
terracotta hues and its strength and durability.
Maurizio has also introduced pots of contemporary
styling to complement the traditional styles.
From the south of France comes the famous
garden pots from Anduze, with the traditional
shapes and classic French glazes and ancient
patine finishings, manufactured by La Poterie de la
Madeleine. This poterie has also introduced a range
of contemporary styles with bright glazes from
white to standout blues, yellows and reds.
These three collections, imported exclusively by
The Terrace Gardener, provide versatile solutions
