BRIEF | The client requires eight new operating
theatres, 10 new intensive care beds, a new 30-bed
endoscopy facility with five procedure rooms, extensive
refurbishment throughout the hospital and a clinical
education and training facility. The South Wing needs
to incorporate a new 20-place chemotherapy treatment
cancer centre, three new 30-bed wards and shelled space
for a future fitout of 30 beds.
BUILD TIME | Construction is due to start in October
2012 and is expected to take 24 months to complete.
FEATURES | Various parts of the development are
treated to large windows, high ceilings and natural light,
double glazed curtain walling, composite aluminium
cladding, natural stone and timber veneers, as well as a
cafe, piazza and retail outlets.
