Positioned in a popular shopping centre in Perth, subtlety was
key in the creation of this store by Urbani Leyton Design
rigitta is a sensual, boudoir-style
store designed to intrigue its
customers and leave them feeling
romanced. Stocked with beautiful
lingerie and pleasure toys, Urbani Leyton
Design (ULD) created elements of old-world
charm with a modern twist.
It was important that the more personal
products be displayed discreetly from the mall,
while the owner also wanted customers to know
what was for sale without hiding the stock.
The colours purple and red reflect sensuality
and romance, while deep purple drapes and
Baresque patterned wallpaper adorn the walls
and ceilings with ornate displays.
A walk-through central pod upholstered in
padded leatherette is a feature in itself, where
each diamond-shaped display window exhibits
a different pleasure toy. The display pod
penetrates a matching curved ceiling feature
reminiscent of the female form, and links the
two feature elements.
The fitting rooms - referred to as the “boudoirs”
– are designed to make any woman feel relaxed
and pampered as she tries on lingerie.
Detailing throughout Brigitta is intricately
done. A touch of old-charm can be seen in the
brass door knockers, handles and gilt frames,
while custom-designed pendants feature real
24-carat gold leaf.
Brigitta is a fine example of ULD’s ability to create
a unique spatial experience that has been individually
tailored to the client and the project’s scope.
