Timber elements are present
throughout the design concept.
DESIGNER | Design Director Kathleen Kusinski, Lead
Designer and Associate Director Matthew Jefferson and
Project Director Melanie Marshall of MKDC.
BRIEF | The design was to incorporate a number
of offices and a flexible workstation solution. The
boardroom and reception areas were to be sophisticated
but understated, while the staff hub area needed to be
a durable and flexible environment, accommodating a
large, high table and stools, lounges and a plasma screen
to encourage staff collaboration and social activities.
BUILD TIME | Nine weeks, including cabinetwork,
workstations and loose furniture.
FEATURES | All meeting areas included magnetic
whiteboards, table boxes for ser vices and acoustic
treatments. Boardroom – timber panelling and
Tasmanian oak door with glass highlights. The design
also included workstations and offices, a large reception,
boardroom, HR meeting area and layout benches.
